A new detachable 10-seater gondola is planned for the ski resort of Pila in Italy.
The new lift will be in two sections, connecting the arrival area of the existing Aosta-Pila gondola lift with the Platta de Grevon area, located between the Conca di Pila and the Cogne valley.
The base station in Pila (1800m) will be located behind the top station of the Aosta-Pila cable car and the two buildings merged. The top station in Cima Couis (2730m) will feature a panoramic restaurant.
With a capacity of 2400 people per hour at a speed of 6 m/s, the new lift will take 13 minutes to cover the 3.8 kilometres. Currently, the journey takes around an hour via three separate lifts.
