The Pole Position - Simple but Effective Ski Training Aid

Admin posted Sep-2011

The Pole Position must be one of the best-kept secrets among Ski Schools in the Alps today. With thousands sold, the Pole Position is extremely easy to use and easy to understand.

Started out as an experiment among snowpros in 2009, the product is now widely used from beginners to several top-notch WC skiers.

How it works

Except from the instant aha-moment you get in the first couple of runs, it stabilizes and fixes your body in the correct ski position like nothing you every experienced before. All you have do is to ski as you normally would. The Pole Position corrects and flexes with your body movements.

Now, meanwhile you ski, your mind and your body will understand how the perfect position is executed and skiing gets so much easier. We call it the Pole Position effect. Try it and take your skiing to the next level.

What ski level are you?

Beginners
Is it time for you to take your skiing from blue to red? Want to change your unsecure feeling to secure and get better control? By using Pole Position your ground technique will improve instantly. You will understand how important it is to keep your arms in front of your body, which will make turning so much easier and loads of fun.

Intermediate
Need to shape up your senses for the upcoming ski trip? Want to take your skiing up a level? The Pole Position is perfect for edit-yourself-training. Two runs in the morning for a week of skiing, the Pole Position will do amazing result for you. You will get a much better understanding of how a great ski position is executed and by knowing this you will improve the way you ski.

Experts
So you think you know it all? And why should precisely you try this akward looking strap? Fall line training and fine-tuning is what it is all about to improve even the best of the best no matter how cocky you are. Using the Pole Position your arms will be fixed and by keeping Pole Position fully stretched your upper body will be strong and minimize shoulders from in-turning, thus keeping a strong and still upper body. This will result in a more fluid turn and more balanced ski technique.

What Size?
Rule of thumb: Use the Pole Position 750 if you are under 175 cm and the Pole Position 900 if you are over 175 cm. Make sure it gets a tight fit under each Pole handle, always unhook when riding a lift.

It's English for me... but you should be able to change it with a drop-down in the top-right of the PayPal page?

Now that I seem to have won one of these, I thought I'd better find out what it is

The website is in English, but the video explaining how to use it is in some Germanic language (sorry, not very good at languages).

Hopefully, when it arrives it will have some instructions with it.

Hi Ally. Congratulations on winning. I bought one and will be using it in just over a week's time. I will let everyone know what it's like. I don't remember the instructions being very comprehensive, but I think it's fairly obvious how to use it - you just attach each end to you ski poles. How it helps with ski technique remains to be seen, but I'm really looking forward to trying it out as I need all the help I can get!
