I googled 'ski package to Germany' (can't be many, it did also give me the cost of a courier!)

Oh...read your question again..no experience of skiing in Germany myself, but my son went there last year with air cadets.
Skied in several resorts (he couldn't remember the names of any when he got back, but I found a lift pass in his pocket and Obertsdorf was one of them) He didn't go to Garmisch I know that but said the ones he did go to were all pretty small.
He had a good time and the snow was very good.

gives some info too.

Obersdorf has around 3/4 days worth of skiing to keep you interested, can be limiting.
Garmisch is a great place, big ski pass for Germany which you can ski in some small gems of resorts in Aust.
In general I cant understand why no tour company uses Germany, it's easy to get to, cheap, good skiing(better than Andorra, Bulgaria Spain)and is just as good as Austria/Italy I think...

Plus, great beer.....
