We took the kids (boys 9 and 6) skiing for the first time last year and they loved it. We are keen to go back again this season, but we will be on a tight budget. Does anybody recommend a good budget resort in France with nice wide pistes for beginners - we want somewhere high because we will be going first week April, but we really want to be able to ski in/out. Any recommendations?

HI,

We can offer you accommodation on our catered chalet or in a 1 bedroom apartment - both in the French Pyrenean resort of Cambre D'Aze. Not quite ski in/out but both are just 100m from the pistes/lifts.
For more info see our website on www.pyrenees-ski-experience.com

Hi teejay

We can help you with our refurbished chalet in Morzine France. Great for wide open pistes, excellent ski schools, and great equipment. Please see our web site www.easiski.co.uk or mail@easiski.co.uk Good discounts for children.

Best wishes

Hi teejay

Having two boys of a similar age ourselves we know what it's like trying to find a good deal for a family!
With that in mind we offer a special family rate of £225pp for 3 nights, £250pp for a 4 night and £350pp for a 7 night family of four break. Just check out www.gravite.co.uk/prices.php[/url] for more details.

We are based in la Clusaz which is an excellent resort for beginners and kids. We have ski hire on the premises at reasonable rates, and know some good english speaking instructors. We can also tell you where to get the best value for money at the mountain restaurants. Which are a lot cheaper here than in the bigger resorts! And could pack up a lunch for you all to keep the costs down.

We still have spaces at Easter (off peak too), and the snow has been excellent here until the end of April and beyond, the last few season. And it's a lot warmer for the kids!

www.flyglobespan might worth a look for cheap flights, as they fly into geneva. Otherwise try the usual easyjet and flyBe.

Anyway I hope this is of some use to you

Best wishes

Hi, We have a Chalet with 11 apartments available for the dates which require. It is in the 3 Vallees and the chalet is right next to the ski-lift. We have only just acquired the chalet, so that is why we have availability. It is in a great village, the typical chocalate-box type, good bars and restaurants and ideal for families. The lifts access the 3 vallees Meribel and Courcheval. We are in St Martin de Belleville and the name is www.le-cochet.com
