Going to Mayrhofen in January for two weeks, one good intermediate and two begineers - one week experience last season each.
I've noticed that there are several ski schools in Mayrhofen.
Does anyone have any info on whether one is best/better than the rest?

Cannot help you personally, but by bumping this back as a current threat I think you find that there are alot more Ski gurus/boffs reading the threads now than when you posted it. I obviously mean those with a knowledge of skiing far superior to mine!!
Slightly selfish reply as I am with 3 families going to Mayrhofen for Xmas and was going to ask the same thing.
Any suggestions?

Fisherman you might find if you repost it under Austria and then Mayrhofen that you will get alot more readers and would think you will get the information you are after. Good luck

i,ve just joined this sight so as to get some info myself, but i actually learned to ski for the first time in mayrhofen along with my kids.
there are several schools and all very good ,all speak english. i cant actually remember the school we used but we had pure luck that we were the only ones learning. they normally take you up to the penken, but we did ahorn as well, which are both very good mountains for first time skiing.we were actualy speeding down the ahorn mini slalom by the fifth day very confident and i have never felt as confident since after taking a fall in chamonix,
i am now a 45 year old snowboarder and enjoying it very much after being pressured by one of my kids on a bulgaria ski holiday.i hope this helps in any way fisherman and you lot have a good holiday.

They list all the ski schools.
If you PM skidaddle he will tell you who he thinks are the best.
