Suggestion: Quit staying in French shoe boxes and head for Switzerland :D
As the lady says, go somewhere where you get better quality rooms. Like Austria for example. Most Austrian twin rooms are the size of a small English bungalow.

Stayed at Le Sherpa a couple of years ago. Bit pricey, but food & hospitality were excellent.
